So, I want to move. Not just any ole kind of move, but a cross country move. And I want to do it alone. I've been obsessively researching forums about the state where I want to live (which shall remain nameless as not to jinx it!) and so many people move. It's not a weird thing. However, what IS weird, is that a single girl wants to move ALONE. I'm not single at the moment, but that's a story for another time.
Is it so bizarre to want to move to a new place all by your lonesome? Pretty much every post I read hums the same tune as "my husband and I...." or "my family and I..." What about the solo adventurers? Is it a dying breed? Was it ever really thriving, or even a breed? Am I completely ridiculous for wanting to do it?
Also, everyone has such strong "reasons" for making a move. My reasons? Well, they are not about good schools or real estate. My deep reasons are snow, proximity to awesome cities, beaches, close(er) to family, and for a change of pace, and my favorite reason...ADVENTURE.
I'm no daredevil. You couldn't pay me to skydive, and I always use a crosswalk and wait for my turn. But to move across country? Now that is what chills and thrills me.
