Metal on Metal

So, I skipped a blog yesterday. It is really hard to do this every single day!

Yesterday was foggy and cold. It felt suffocating to me, much like the status of my relationship. I went into work, and tried not to feel too down.

Typical day of work, and then I went to a friend's place to throw in a load of laundry. She had a very innocent looking Netflix disc called "Anvil." We popped that sucker in, and while my clothes twirled and spun, we watched a documentary about this amazing group called Anvil.

These Canadian dudes are in their 50's and still rocking it pretty hard. And, they are nice Jewish boys I might add. The lead singer is super spiritual, philosophical, and emotional. I just loved him. Apparently, they have been rocking for 30 years, and are really amazing musicians, but have had horrible luck with managers. They are still trying to "make it" and become rockstars, so if I ever win the lottery, I'm totally investing in these guys.

New Year's is coming up soon. I feel pretty "meh" about it. I asked the bf if we could go out and do something. Maybe go to the water to see some fireworks. We'll see if that actually happens.

I had a dream last night about visiting friends in Texas. These are friends that live in Colorado, so not sure why they were in TX in my dream. I drove there to see them. They were living on the west side of Texas. There was snow everywhere and we tried to jump around in it. We went to bed, and in the morning, the snow was gone, and the air was hot and humid. I asked what happened to our pretty snow. Somehow, in the morning, we wound up on the east side of Texas. So weird.

Sort of the same ole same ole going on here. Meeting with my previous roomies for dinner tonight, and then I'm hitting the gym. I have skipped two days and I feel weird.
