I left work a little bit early yesterday. As much as I was championing myself as a superhero against disease, I think whatever is going around made it's way into my body. I came home and slept for three hours. I was tormented with nightmares about zombies, starring Jennifer Aniston and Charlotte's first husband from Sex in the City. He had red hair and a raging mullet. We were trying to get into some haunted house, but zombies were everywhere. I woke up in a bit of a sweat and stared in the darkness. I haven't had a scary dream in as long as I can remember. I stayed up for a couple of hours and went right back to sleep.
Not feeling much better today. I can feel my head clogging as I type, and looking out at the pounding rain, I imagine the sickness is on its way to get me.
I am a little annoyed at the airlines. I was cruising around, checking out flights from DC to SFO, and there are zero nonstop flights from the airport my friend wants to take. The 2nd choice airport has some nonstops for $300 bucks more. The 3rd airport in DC (and the furthest from friend) has several nonstops at a good price, but he'd rather do a stop over than go to that airport. Oh, so very annoying. Plane ticket will be bought this weekend.
I have a great Brian Froud calendar, and I filled in of my school days on it. We have a five week break in March, and I glared at my calendar thinking that a five week break in March sucks. Why not make it a shorter break and an earlier semester end? School is a true test/exercise in my patience.
I have been in zombie mode again. It could be from getting sick, or could just be that I've been going through my daily motions like Bill Murray from Groundhog Day. I met Bill Murray once at a local neighborhood bar, he was kind of an ass. He did blow me a kiss when I asked for a hug, and everyone passed around his glass of scotch to drink from after he left. But the days consist of work, gym, tv, cruising sites. This is not very exciting at all. I know next week shit will hit the fan with 3 days of traveling into the city for school, so I'm trying to enjoy the next few days of total calmness.
Time to get ready for work!
