Day 2

Nicotine gum is officially my favorite thing, ever ever. Besides the extra burping, I am happy to report that I am not having any crazy side effects. Well, I shouldn't be so cavalier...this morning, I woke up with a very runny nose and brought a roll of toilet paper to work with me. The drip is gone though, and happily chewing my way through the day. I had waves of trippy moments, when I felt sort of a little dizzy and light headed, and then it would go away. So far so good, so I'm not going to go on too much about should I fail.

Tonight was the first night of classes for this (and my last) semester of my paralegal program. The class is a discovery and trial preparation class, which is a pretty handy, and necessary class for paralegal studies. The teacher...eh, a little too early to say. But on Day 1, she launched into all kinds of lectures, and I do enjoy a teacher who has the courtesy to slowly bring you into his or her class, then knock you on your ass. There were two "know-it-all" girls in the class. Every class has to have at least one, but I was blessed with two. As the girls in turn showed the teacher how much more they knew than her, my friend and I rolled our eyes. The grading system is based on assignments and participation, rather than tests, which is a huge hoorah for me. So, I'll attempt not to judge too quickly and hope for the best. Tomorrow is probate, and I received my textbook in the mail today, which means reading two chapters in preparation for tomorrow's class. I have two classes with this guy, and I've heard all kinds of mixed reviews about him, so I'm interested in seeing what he's all about!
